AVAILABILITY FOR INKA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU - 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

We organize tours to Machupicchu through the "Inca Trail" from March to January. Our recommended fixed departure dates are from April to October, before and after these months it is considered the most intense rainy season. To carry out the "Inca Trail" we have a strict limit of visitors that we can take to this magnificent place, the number of people who can walk on the "Inca Trail" is 500 people per day; taking into account that more than half of this number are workers (guides, porters and cooks). Knowing all this, we recommend booking it well in advance (6 months in advance).

    ITINERARY:

DAY 01 (CUSCO - PISCAKUCHU KM 82 - HUAYLLABAMBA): Our trek to Machupicchu through the classic "Inca Trail" begins at your hotel, from where we will pick you up between 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning. From there and with the guide we will be transferred for about 2 or 2.5 hours to Piscakuchu (km. 82), our starting point for this wonderful walk. In Piscakucho there is also the first checkpoint, where we will present all the documents (Inca Trail permits and your original passport), to allow us to officially enter the Inca Trail to Machupicchu. After the checkpoint, we will start our walk for approximately 2 hours to Miskay, where our team (porters and cooks) are waiting for us with a hearty lunch. This part of the route is almost flat and has beautiful landscapes (we will enjoy the incredible flora). After Miskay, we will walk another 2 hours until we reach Wayllabamba (3,010 masl.), where we will camp. We will arrive at our campsite around 5:00 p.m.; and there we will enjoy a good dinner. Enjoy the night

DAY 02 (HUAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PACAYMAYU): This day we will get up early at 5:30 with a delicious coca tea, after this we have to prepare for our breakfast (6:00 a.m.). The first part of our trek starts at 6:30, and it will take us about 5 hours (7 km.) to reach the highest point of our trek which is known as the Dead Woman's Pass or Warmi Wañuska (4,200 masl.) , this part is considered the most challenging of our tour.

From this place we have 2 more hours of walking downhill to our second camp (Pacamayu 3,600 masl.); enjoying a delicious lunch after 7 hours of walking. This day we will walk only until lunchtime. In the camp we will rest and around 6:30 we will enjoy a good dinner. This place is a bit cold. Good evening

DAY 03 (PACAYMAYU – PHUYUPATAMARKA - WIÑAYHUAYNA): We will get up at 6:00 a.m. and then we will enjoy breakfast at 6:30. At 7:00 we will start with our walk. This is a special and beautiful day where we will visit 3 Inca sites along the trail. The first, is one hour from our camp; "Runkurakay" (3,800 masl.), after this place we have to continue climbing for an hour until we reach the second high point, the Runkurakay Pass (4,000 masl.). After the pass and descending for 45 minutes, we arrive at the archaeological center of Sayacmarka (3,580 masl.). After visiting Sayacmarka we will continue with our walk for 25 min. until we reach Chakicoccha (3,600 masl.) where we will enjoy a delicious lunch and an incredible landscape.

After Chakicoccha we will have an extra hour to the archaeological center of Phuyupatamarka (3,600 masl.). Where we can find Inca buildings. From this place we will have an intense descent of two hours to Wiñayhuayna (2,700 meters above sea level), which is also the area of ??our last camp. Then we will enjoy a good buffet dinner to say goodbye to part of our team (cooks and porters). If we still have energy, we can visit the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna, just 5 minutes from our camp (we recommend this visit) an impressive archaeological site with many terraces and buildings. Good evening
