AUSANGATE TREK - 05 DAYS
The snowy Ausangate (6 398 m / 20 991 f) is considered one of the most beautiful snow-capped mountains of the Andes mountain range. The region around the mountain offers an impressive landscape of mountains, glaciers, lagoons and streams. We will visit these places accompanied by our specialized guide who will teach us the customs and traditions (meditation). The five-hour trip of the first day Cusco – Tinki, is an excellent preparation for differences in temperature and altitude.

We leave by bus at 5 am from your hotel in Cusco to the Vilcanota mountain range, passing the Cusco Ccahuarina pass (4 200 m / 13 779 ft), until you reach Upis (4 400 m / 14 436 ft) Here we will enjoy lunch and enjoy the beautiful landscape of hills and the front of the snowy Ausangate. After lunch, we start our trek through Arapa pass (4 800 m / 15: 748 f), descending towards Yana ccocha (4 500 m / 14 763 ft).

At dawn we will have breakfast and continue our journey visiting incredible lakes of different colors until reaching the Pucacocha lagoon, then we will begin the ascent to the Pucacocha pass (4 900m / 16 076 ft). From then on, we will continue to Anantapata (4 500m / 14 763ft) where we will camp.

After our breakfast we will make our trek through Lake Kayrawiri, surrounded by steep mountains. Continuing, we pass through Cerro Grande Laya heading to the rainbow mountain or Vinicunca. Dea we will walk a few more minutes to have lunch, after a break we continue our trek to Qocha Ausangate (Lake 4 650 m / 15 256 ft) where we will camp.

Today we will cross the Palomani Pass (5 100 m / 16 732 ft) The highest of the trek, enjoying spectacular and panoramic views of the Ausangate. We will descend next to the glaciers towards Pampa Finaya where we will observe camelids such as alpacas, llamas and vicuñas; sometimes Condors. After a day of hiking, we arrive at Jampa (4 700 m / 15 420 ft), where we will camp.

Leaving very early in the morning we headed for a spectacular ascent towards the Campa pass (5 050 m / 16 568 ft). Continuing we will pass several beautiful lakes on the way to Pacchanta (4 350 m / 14 270 ft). Arriving, we will enjoy a delicious lunch and then head to the relaxing hot springs found in this beautiful place. After this relaxing bath we will go by bus to Cusco.
