The snow of Ausangate, is one of the highest peaks of Peru located in the Vilcanota mountain range (part of the immense mountain range of the Peruvian Andes), 130 kilometers from the city of Cusco and reaches an altitude of (6 398 m / 20,991 ft); It has an impressive natural landscape as: lagoons of different shades (emerald green / turquoise blue), majestic mountains and varied flora and fauna taken into account the great height of this magnificent place
Peru Mysteries, offers adventure hikes in part of this great chain of snowy mountains, making treks of varied difficulties, for that we have diverse itineraries, accommodating us to the demands that are required.
The pilgrimage to the Ocongate mountain, which takes place only once a year, is where the chapel of the Lord of Qoyllur Rity (shining snow) is located, becoming a festival that attracts thousands of pilgrims between Peruvians and foreigners. The hiking activities to the Nevado del Ausangate can be done more frequently by all adventure lovers who like to be in contact with nature.
